(architecture, historical) The rectangular great hall in a Mycenaean building, usually supported with pillars.Examples: "The megara faced north (“notebook north” equals true northeast) in the first court behind the archaic East Gate, similar in layout to their predecessors Megara 1 and 2 in the pre-Kimmerian East Court.
